Dr. Joshua Genuth, DMD, MD is a highly trained Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon dedicated to delivering exceptional care. He is from Long Island, NY and graduated magna cum laude from Yeshiva University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and his Doctor of Medicine from the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at the prestigious NYU Langone Health, Bellevue Hospital Center, Veterans Affairs NY Harbor Healthcare, and NYU College of Dentistry, one of the nation’s top-tier programs. He completed a one-year general surgery internship during this time as well. He was chosen to serve as the Executive Chief Resident in his final year of training, where he was tasked with additional responsibilities including training the lower level Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and General Practice Residents.
Dr. Genuth’s training encompasses the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His clinical interests encompass the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and include outpatient sedation, wisdom tooth removal, dental implants, orthognathic jaw surgery, facial trauma, and oral and maxillofacial pathology. He is trained in using the most advanced technologies with 3D printing and custom virtual surgical planning to ensure safe, effective, and personalized outcomes for each and every patient. He has also been published in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for his research in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery during his training.
In addition to his surgical expertise, Dr. Genuth is known for his warm and approachable demeanor. He is committed not only to providing the best care for patients but also to ensuring that every patient feels informed, empowered, and confident in their treatment. He was also honored with the Employee of the Month award amongst all the employees of Bellevue Hospital Center for his exceptional ability to help patients feel comfortable and at ease.
Outside of the office, Dr. Genuth enjoys spending time with his wife and son, and is an avid fisherman and surfer. He has even been published in a prominent fishing magazine for detailing his striped bass fishing trips from his kayak. Dr. Genuth always makes it a priority each year to volunteer as a surfing instructor for local programs that allow children with special needs and those with physical disabilities experience the power and beauty of the ocean.
