Meet the Award-Winning Oral Surgeons at Bergen Oral Surgery
Dr. Jason Diamond, Dr. Vincent Novelli, and Dr. Chang Han are all board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, but each of these dual-degree surgeons brings unique training, passion, and perspective to our team and our patients.
Dr. Jason Diamond
Jason Diamond, DDS, MD earned his dental degree from Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine and a medical degree from The Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He has completed a one-year internship in general surgery as well as a prestigious six-year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York.
Based in our Franklin Lakes and Westwood locations, Dr. Diamond’s expertise covers the full range of oral and maxillofacial surgeries, with a particular focus on mandibular reconstruction, dental implants, bone grafting, oral pathology, and orthognathic surgery. In addition, Dr. Diamond is a long-time resident of Bergen County, an accomplished author in his field, and serves as an honorary oral surgeon for the NYPD.
Dr. Vincent Novelli
Vincent Novelli, DMD, MD earned his dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and his medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He also completed a one-year surgical internship and a prestigious six-year oral and maxillofacial surgery residency, both at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York.
Based in our Ridgewood and Hackensack locations, Dr. Novelli’s tenure with Bergen Oral Surgery spans more than two decades, and he attributes that experience to his compassion in care:
“Practicing at BOMS for almost 25 years has allowed me to understand that an excellent surgeon recognizes that each patient is a unique human being with individual needs,” says Dr. Novelli. “I strive to always personally relate to their surgical issue and provide the most compassionate and well-executed procedure to allow for the best recovery and outcome.”
Dr. Novelli’s expertise spans the full range of oral and maxillofacial surgeries, with a particular focus on dental implants, maxillofacial pathology, facial cosmetic injectables, and PRF.
Dr. Chang Han
Chang Han, DDS, MD received his dental surgery doctorate degree from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery and received his medical doctorate from the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University. He completed a one-year general surgery internship and a six-year oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center.
Based in our Franklin Lakes and Westwood locations, Dr. Han has advanced training in dental implantology, facial reconstructive surgery, and orthognathic/corrective jaw surgery. His particular areas of interest include dentoalveolar surgery, TMJ surgery, facial trauma, and the treatment of patients with craniofacial deformities and pathology.
Using his professional experience for good, Dr. Han has worked with Healing the Children, a non-profit organization that works internationally to treat children with cleft lips and palates.
